Hello my loves! Welcome back to a Drizzly March day! We have had one heck of a hectic, chaotic and dizzying start to the year. As such, the date nights have gone on the back burner because we have been A Busy with new ventures, B Finding new jobs and C skint AF because of Hey my lovely readers, I hope you all had a great weekend! I thought I would write-up this weekends adventures, it wasn’t an official Alphabet Date but would be an awesome idea for all you foodies out there who want to try something new. I’m Sorry. Last year we managed to complete 52 unique dates. Even though we completed our goal, it may have been too ambitious of a goal. Having repeat dates is perfectly fine too.

I asked my Instagram followers to give us some suggestions for our B date night and they truly gave us some spectacular ideas! In the end, we decided on brunch then bowling , but we had no idea it would turn into a weekend long date! The plan was to check out a new bowling spot nearby called Lane 7 , suggested to us by Oli and Emily who did burgers and bowling for their B date.
On our way, we stopped by The Body Shop so I could ask a few questions about their new skin care line. We were a bit sad, but went home and booked a lane for two games the next afternoon. Instead, we stayed home on Saturday night and watched the latest episode of The Bachelor. On Sunday afternoon, we went back to Lane 7 for our reservation and had the best time. I even told Luke I want to have my birthday party there!

Alphabet dating is, quite simply, the idea where you go through each letter of the alphabet and plan a date around that letter. So now once a month, we will plan a fun date based on whatever letter of the alphabet is next in the sequence. I adored the Alice in Wonderland pop-up book and would have loved to look through that but sadly all of the items on display were kept safely in glass display cases.
There is also a pop-up shop in the library, which is beautifully decorated and features an assortment of books, accessories and other merchandise. After our brief visit to Wonderland, we hopped on the tube from Euston to Waterloo and made our way to the Southbank, where after a quick bite to eat we visited the Sea Life Aquarium. I love an aquarium.
I find them so fascinating and relaxing. I found it very interesting and I feel like I learnt something. I mean, I knew sharks were in danger of becoming extinct due to shark finning killing the shark for its fin in order to make shark fin soup but I had no idea that shark fin soup was something that was available in some chinese restaurants in London!

Actually I think the huge shark tank was probably my favourite bit of the aquarium as it made me feel so small, I could have stood there for hours just watching these fascinating creatures just swimming around. Perhaps it was our fault visiting on a Saturday afternoon, but the number of people visiting the aquarium made for quite a noisy and overcrowded experience, so much so that our visit was quite rushed.
It would be better if visitor numbers could be controlled and staggered a little as it made me quite tetchy and claustrophobic.
